GPG is a small, but highly regarded urban consulting firm.  We are considered one of the leading authorities on the research and planning of historic commercial districts, neighborhoods, new urban town centers and resorts.

GPG specializes in analyzing and planning complex historic and new urban commercial centers and offers complete master planning and real estate advisory services for the public and private sectors. 

We frequently assemble seasoned design and economic professionals to approach commissions in a collaborative advisory and planning process.

Founded in 1988 by Robert Gibbs, FASLA, AICP, GPG has consulted for hundreds of cities, institutions, new town centers, resorts and universities across the Americas, Europe and the Pacific Rim.  

Gibbs serves as GPG's managing director, teaches at Harvard University and Hosts the Michigan Planning Today cable show.  Gibbs has recently been named as one of the 100 most influential urbanists of the Century by Planetizen and is credited with developing one of the Great Ideas of the New Urbanism.

Prior to forming GPG, Gibbs served as the director of planning at the Taubman Company and as an urban designer at the JJR/Smith Group.
